The frame is an Arts and Crafts style frame with mortise and tenon joinery, made from hand planed walnut, with maple wedges in the tenons. The frame is made from hand planed hard maple. A recess is cut around the frame to accomodate an arrangement of Mark's stonework. To see more of Mark's work visit: www.hashnustones.com The frame is made from hand planed walnut with wedged tenons above, and pinned lap joints below. It is very sculptural.
